Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to Perform at Grammys

Beatles to be honored with Lifetime Achievement Award
Surviving Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will perform at this year’s Grammys on Jan. 26, during which the seminal British group will be honored with the Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award.

McCartney will attend the Grammys as a nominee in his own right too, with nods for Best Music Film for the concert movie Live Kisses and Best Rock Song for ‘Cut Me Some Slack,’ a collaboration with the surviving members of Nirvana.

Beatles adulation continues in February, when the Eurythmics will reunite for the first time in a decade for a tribute concert to the Fab Four on Feb. 7. The performance will mark the 50th anniversary of American Beatlemania — the wave of adulation and hysteria kickstarted by the Beatles’ performance on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1964.
