Beyoncé’s feminism isn’t my feminism says Chimamanda Adichie

Lagos - Recall Beyoncé used fragments of Chimamanda’s TED Talk “We should all be feminists” in her song 'Flawless'. However, the acclaimed literature writer says Beyonce's type of feminism is not hers, reports Pulse.ng
According to Adichie, "it is the kind that gives quite a lot of space to the necessity of men".
"Her style is not my style, but I do find it interesting that she takes a stand in political and social issues, since a few years. She portrays a woman who is in charge of her own destiny, who does her own thing, and she has girl power. I am very taken with that.Still, her type of feminism is not mine, as it is the kind that, at the same time, gives quite a lot of space to the necessity of men. I think men are lovely, but I don’t think that women should relate everything they do to men: did he hurt me, do I forgive him, did he put a ring on my finger?" she said
We women are so conditioned to relate everything to men. Put a group of women together and the conversation will eventually be about men. Put a group of men together and they will not talk about women at all, they will just talk about their own stuff. We women should spend about 20 per cent of our time on men, because it’s fun, but otherwise we should also be talking about our own stuff." she added.

Man City BAN coloured boots for young players as part of a drive for excellence

Manchester City have BANNED all of their under-18 players from wearing multi-coloured boots in a bid to keep their feet on the ground.

The policy of only allowing black boots is part of the Blues' mantra of ensuring that their players are level-headed as well as talented and technically excellent.

And that forms a key element in a youth strategy which the head of academy coaching Jason Wilcox feels will end up leaving first team manager Pep Guardiola “spoilt for choice” in terms of young stars.

City have had some spectacular successes in the youth ranks in recent years, and are now starting to see those green shoots blossom in the first team, with Kelechi Iheanacho , Aleix Garcia , Tosin Adarabioyo , Angelino, Pablo Maffeo and Angus Gunn now part of the first team set-up.But the feeling within the club is that the recruitment and coaching policy will only truly start to have an effect in the next few years.

A dark debate: Trump and Clinton spend 90 minutes on the attack

The second presidential debate veered into ugly territory Sunday night in St. Louis, as the two nominees swapped insults and interruptions.

Republican Donald Trump at one point said that his rival Hillary Clinton had “hate in her heart,” and showed it by saying that half of his supporters were in the “basket of deplorables.”

Clinton in turn accused Trump of living in an “alternate reality” and of peddling what she called the “racist lie” that President Obama was not born in the United States.

That exchange came as an especially bitter, boundary-breaking debate neared its conclusion. The words “sex tape” even made their debut in the solemn tradition of American presidential debates on Sunday night, as Trump denied doing something he had actually done: asking his Twitter followers to “check out sex tape” of a former Miss Universe with whom he was feuding.

The President General of the Council, Prince Michael Newgent Eaton, stated this when the council met with the leadership of the Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF, in Kaduna on Thursday.

He noted categorically that members of the MEND and the Avengers should be arrested and prosecuted.

He explained that, “Our group is not militant. We are here to see how we can build one Nigeria. We want to condemn the activities of the Avengers and the MEND. They are criminals. But better put, armed robbers who are stealing the wealth of our land.
