According to YNaija, the Internet Newspaper for Young Nigerians, has announced a new series – The Leading Ladies Africa Series.
The Leading Ladies Africa Series, will be in the form of weekly interviews, and will showcase the experiences of phenomenal women in all socio-economic sectors, highlight their personal and professional achievements and offer useful advice on how to make life more satisfying.
“All around the world, women are shaping policy, participating more in politics and expanding the frontiers of business. In Africa especially, there is a steady, consistent rise of women who are changing the narrative and perception of what women can do, and how they should be viewed.” says the curator of the series.
“Inspiring change with our stories” is the tag line of the series because we believe that the steady rise of the African continent will be impossible without the contribution of its women. We have new and important stories to tell; stories of determination, success, grit and perseverance – whether it be in business, on the home front, or in careers; one thing is clear, African women are changing the narrative, and it’s something we should be proud of.”
The series is an off-shoot of Leading Ladies Africa; an initiative that seeks to effectively mentor and inspire women, with particular emphasis on the African continent.
The series launches officially today and will feature interviews from women all over Africa.
