The Yorubas Are Traitors, And I Don't Care About The Loss Of Norhern Blood- Asari Dokubo

The Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo yesterday said that after Goodluck Jonathan’s term in office is over they will take their oil away.

Asar Dokubo made the threat in a 20-minute phone conversation with Dr Peregrino Brimah, the Sahara Reporters correspondent.

Brimah reports that the conversation was a very heated one, which ranged from the topic of Boko Haram to the 2015 national elections.

Asari Dokubo was said to be unrepentant and aggressive in his total support for the rule of President Jonathan.

Below is Brimah’s account of the conversation between the two.

I told him that at a time I had respected him (Dokubo) but now he has lost all my respect; asking how much money would make him support a killer leadership. I asked how insensitive he was witnessing how Jonathan’s corruption had undermined the army and how the president’s failures (not complying with the Paris summit agreement to station 700 troops to defend the border) directly led for instance to the death of over 2500 defenseless Nigerians at Baga.

He mentioned Fulani.

I asked what the poor Kanuri fishermen and farmers of Baga had to do with a so-called Fulani thing.

He responded that the killings were in the north and he had no business or care about that. He further cited wars in other places and the example of Libya and the sack of Moammar Gaddafi.

I told him that in those cases there was not an inebriated and cluelessly corrupt government that caused the preventable wars and asked him why then does he support Jonathan who disgraced Africa being the first African leader to support the NATO destruction of Gaddafi and Libya in effect, while great leaders like Jacob Zuma stood behind Libya.

He said something about having trained in Libya and accused General Buhari, chief opposition candidate of receiving funds for his presidential campaign in 2011 from Gaddafi.

I did not understand his point, because I supported Gaddafi and Libya against the colonialist sponsored invasion and have no grouse with Gaddafi.

I insisted; that why will he support a Jonathan who aided the hegemonists destroy North Africa by sacking Gaddafi, now leading to the proliferation of arms and instability in the entire region.

I went on to ask him how much he had been paid and what this money was worth, that it made him sell his soul for a hopeless candidate.

He continued a tirade against the North, the “Gambari’s” and the Yorubas, saying all were traitors and that why am I interested in the Fulani ruling me.

I told him that this conversation had nothing to do with Buhari; that if he wanted he should not support anyone, or should have brought out a responsible candidate from his family, but how does his conscience feel supporting someone who was killing innocent people across the country.

He responded again accusing Yorubas, the group to which I belong, of being traitors and bragging of all the bombs his terror group had detonated across Yoruba land.

I told him that his desperation for a penny had made him betray the true struggle of the Ijaw people; I pointed out that Bayelsa was the most polluted piece of land on the planet with terrible suffering.

He challenged my stats and asked me what I knew about Bayelsa.

I responded that I lived there for a year and that the sky there is still red with burning of natural gas. I told him how oil spillage has destroyed their ecosystem under Jonathan.

He asked how long Jonathan had been there.

I retorted that 6 years was long enough to effect transformation.

He said I lied and that I had never lived in Bayelsa.

I went ahead to describe Bayelsa to him.

He was very angry and continued to curse Yoruba people as traitors who betrayed in the past and threatened that the Yorubas will feel the wrath of the Ijaw.

I told him he was a coward, that if he was not he would have liberated his father’s house..

Ronaldo took to twitter to “apologise to everyone” after the match and “especially to Edimar” for an act he described “thoughtless”.

Politician In A/Ibom Induced Us To Obtain PVVs To Vote- Togolese, Ghanaians

The Nigerian Immigration Service has asked some nationals of countries of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS, residing in Akwa Ibom State to return the Permanent Voter’s Card they illegally collected from the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The call came on the heels of revelations by some of the immigrants that they were induced by some unnamed politicians to obtain the card in order to be able to participate in the forthcoming elections.

President, Togolese Community in Akwa Ibom, Mr. Innocent Keuosseh, revealed this in Uyo on Wednesday during a stakeholders forum organised by the state office of NIS.

Keuosseh stated that some of the immigrants, who married in the state, had been registered as eligible voters by their in-laws, who were politicians.

Confirming the claims by the Togolese, a Ghanaian, married to an indigene of the state, Mr. Charles Furson, added that the politicians had enticed them with gifts to secure votes in elections.

“I was given N500, maggi and salt, many of us have these cards”, Furson said.

Another Ghanaian, Mr Gideon Kwamena, however, introduced a new twist when he said some of them acquired the PVCs to enable them carry out their banking transactions with ease.

In his reaction, The Comptroller Immigration, Akwa Ibom Command, Mr. Abdullahi Garba, urged the foreigners to return all PVCs in their possession to his office for onward delivery to INEC.

Garba stressed that no foreigner would be allowed to vote or be voted for in the forthcoming general elections.

He added that foreigners in the first place, were not allowed to possess the PVC as they were not Nigerian citizens.

He added that immigration officers would be at the polling stations to monitor and arrest any foreigner who may want to vote during the elections.

“We trust that you know your role as members of ECOWAS, and you know your rights and limitations as residents of this state. As members of ECOWAS in the state, your right is limited. You are not allowed to vote or be voted for.

“You should not be seen to constitute a problem to election process in the country. If you don’t have anything doing, take rest that day”, he cautioned.

The comptroller also asked the District Immigration Officers to be on the alert and apprehend any foreigner flouting the directive of the Immigration Service.

Our Stand: Don't Mess With February 14

Just 19 days to the commencement of the 2015 general elections, calls for their postponement have become more strident. Coteries of voices are converging, once more, on a road to damnation. And Nigeria democracy is, yet again, being attacked at the roots.

What are the reasons for these calls? Non-distribution of a substantial number of the permanent voter cards (PVCs), terrorist attacks in the north-east, fear of violence in many other parts of the country, the tension-soaked atmosphere, and perhaps non-readiness of some politicians that are now dangling yet-invisible legal hurdles.

Every round of elections in the country has always been preceded by tension and seeming lack of preparedness to conduct them. This one is obviously not different. And none of these fears is one that the electoral umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has recognised. Although some 30million out of 68.9million PVCs had not been distributed by a fortnight ago, INEC has stated that the number has reduced drastically and will become insignificant as Election Day approaches. INEC chairman Prof. Attahiru Jega has confirmed that money for the procurement of materials and other logistics has been made available. Even displaced people will have a chance to vote, he noted. As for the fear of violence, it is not really the business of INEC but that of the Nigerian armed forces and security agencies that are sustained by public funds.

INEC has had four years to prepare for this year’s polls. A storm foretold cannot take the cripple by surprise. The National Assembly has had four years to put in place enabling legislations that could have removed all hurdles to free, fair, transparent and credible elections. The executive and judiciary arms have had four years to do what is right.

We are aware that there are many out there that are working hard to use the judiciary to scuttle the polls. Pressure is being mounted on striking judiciary workers to resume so the anti-democracy forces could approach corrupt judges for injunctions and possibly attempt to render any elections that may be held “illegal”. While we are also uncomfortable with the lingering strike, judiciary workers should not allow themselves to be used by those who do not wish the country well to destroy democracy.

Some people may have been sincere in expressing fears: Pastor Tunde Bakare who cited insecurity across the land for warning against “walking into a disaster”; Chief Dan Nwanyanwu, immediate past national chairman of the Labour Party, who wants an allowance made for people to collect their voter cards and not be denied the right to vote; Governor James Ngillari of Adamawa State who is worried that terrorists have seized seven out of 21 local government areas of his state; and perhaps the national security adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd), who, citing non-distribution of PVCs, believes that INEC is not yet prepared for the polls.

Patriotic as their ideas may be, sincere proponents of postponement ought to understand that they cannot rob Peter to pay Paul. The nation faces a far greater danger in postponing the polls than in trying to right all wrongs before calling for polls. Shifting of the polls is bound to put the democratic structure in serious threat.

We therefore agree with the official position of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) and all other views clearly against postponement under any guise. The ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been inexplicably silent, even as there is a clear signal that an extension by six months or even one year would be attractive to many incumbent officeholders that are already sure of not returning to their seats.

If the polls were to be postponed by two months because of Boko Haram in the north-east, for instance, what is the assurance that the insurgent group will be routed before May? Why can’t ...

Elections 2015: INEC Rejects Seven Parties Governorship Candidates

A build up to the 2015 elections continues, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) today, rejected the submission of governorship candidates by seven parties in various states of the federation.

The rejection, according to INEC, was as a result of the parties’ inability to nominate running mates.

The parties and the states affected are – Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) in Delta state, Labour Party in Niger State, New Nigeria Peoples Party in Ogun State, Unity Party of Nigeria in Oyo State, United Democratic Party in Rivers State, and Peoples Democratic Movement in Sokoto and Zamfara States respectively.

In a decision extract issued and signed by the Director (Commission’s Secretariat), Ishiaku A. Gali, the commission also approved that the House of Representatives election in Ado/Opoku/Ogbadibo Federal Constituency of Benue State, being uncontested, and as such, the nominated candidate should be declared elected on the day of the election by the Returning Officer.

Section 187 of the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended) provides that a candidate to the office of a governor shall not be deemed to be validly nominated for such office unless he appoints another candidate as his running mate who shall occupy the office of Deputy Governor.

“If after expiration of time for delivering of nomination papers, withdrawal of candidates and the extension of time as provided for in this Act there is only one person whose name is validly nominated in respect of an election, other than to the office of the President or Governor, that person shall be declared elected.”

You’d recall that last week, the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega, rebuffed calls for the postponement of the 2015 general election, insisting that the scheduled elections will hold as planned.

Searching For The Perfect Mate? 6 Traits You Should Always Look For

It’s New Year and many people have had their first smooch of the year already. Although the New Year’s Kiss could be a metaphor for our relationships, in hopes of it leading to something great, it doesn’t really mean that it’s the person we will be happy with for the rest of our lives.

The reasons that we fall in love are a mystery, but the reasons that we stay in love far less elusive.

There is no such thing as the perfect partner, but an ideal partner can be found in someone that goes beyond just looks and appearances. While many of us seek specific qualities in a mate, there are certain psychological characteristics that you and your partner can aim for that make the relationship more passionate and fulfilling

Although we all have our idea of the perfect partner, here are 6 traits that exceed the type of partner you want and should be found in everyone.

#1) Maturity

Maturity is simply more than just being a grown-up. It’s not about the boyfriend or husband who forgets to take out the trash or who remembered your birthday. These qualities are nice to have but to truly be grow up means to make an effort recognize and resolve negative influences from our past.

When we’ve matured emotionally, you are less likely to re-enact or project pat experiences into your current relationship. In other words, a mature person doesn’t look for their partner to compensate for what happened to them in the past. Instead they are able to look beyond and learn from those mistakes to become a better person.

#2) Openness

Relationships should come with good communication. An ideal partner is open and vulnerable, willing to express flaws and is receptive to feedback and criticism.

When someone is free-thinking and open it helps them to be forthcoming to express feelings, thoughts, and any other vulnerabilities within the bond.

Perfect unions don’t exist, just as there is no such thing as a perfect person, so finding someone whom you can talk about and openly express yourself is of the utmost importance. Being willing to accept feedback, good or bad, from our partners helps us t develop as well.

#3) Honestly & Integrity

A relationship can’t stand without honesty. The ideal partner will realize the important of integrity and honesty within a relationship. Honestly builds trust between two people.

Dishonesty confuses and angers the other person, shattering their sense of what is real and what is simply a mirage. Dishonesty, the opposite of someone who is open, is one of the most destructive impacts on a relationship.

It’s unfair for anyone to be blatantly dishonest to their partner and expect the relationship to last. Being honest and true within a relationship opens ourselves up to getting to know our truest intentions.

#4) Respect & Independence

Ideal partners value each other’s independence and have a deep respect for each other. The support of an ideal partnership is unfailing support for one another.

Couple that are mature are sensitive to the wants, desires and needs of the other person, outside themselves. There is no controlling or manipulative behavior, only trust and assurance.

Having trust in your partner’s boundaries, while remaining close physically and emotionally allows us to get to know them as separate people.

#5) Empathy

the ideal mate is easily affectionate and responsive on many levels, being it physically, emotionally or verbally. Warmth and tenderness should abound in the relationship and not just be one-sided.

When looking for a partner, being open to giving and receiving affection adds more depth to our lives in more ways than one.

#6) Sense of Humor

Humor adds depth and fun to any relationship. A sense of humor can be a lifesaver in argumentative or other not so ideal situations that you and your partner find yourselves in.

The ability to laugh at your faults and life’s setbacks will strengthe..

Things To Say To A Friend Who's Having An Affair

Throughout a friendship, you’re likely to experience some very complicated predicaments — one of them being if he or she decides to have an extramarital affair. This is a sticky wicket not only for your friend who may be fooling around, but for you as well.

It’s tough to know how to handle a situation like this, whether you know for a fact that she’s cheating or if you’ve only heard rumors. I’d love to tell you that you should simply bury your head in the sand and gently remove it when your friend’s affair is over, but it’s just not that easy.

So what exactly should you say or not say? Well, there are a number of answers to this question depending on a variety of factors. Here are a few scenarios and advice on what you should do.

Related: Proof That Cheating Isn’t Just a Guy Thing

Scenario #1: You’re Not Sure She’s Having an Affair

You’re on the fence about whether your friend is being unfaithful, but there’s major buzz that she’s spending way too much time with her neighbor, co-worker, friend’s husband, etc. What to do: Tell her that you don’t need to know if she’s having an affair or not but that there are rumors circulating. She can then decide how to handle both the rumors and her reputation.

Scenario #2: You’re Sworn to Secrecy about the Affair

What to Say to a Friend Who’s Having an AffairYour friend confides in you that she’s having an affair and swears you to secrecy. This is especially tricky because you and your husband happen to be very good friends with her and her husband, which puts you into a potentially duplicitous situation. What to do: You’re basically complicit in this affair if you act as if nothing is wrong when you all go out together, so pull the plug on the double dating while this ‘situation’ is going on. Yes, you can remain friends, but find a creative way to slow down on going out as couple friends.

Related: 3 Benefits of Having ‘Couple Friends’

Scenario #3: She Wants Your Opinion about ‘Next Steps’

Let’s say that your friend asks you if she should continue her affair, leave her husband or make some other major life change related to the affair. BEWARE; whatever you say can and may be used against you in the future. You might suggest that your friend leave her husband, and years later she blames you for encouraging her to leave a good man. What to do: If she asks you what to do, tell her to find a good therapist who will help her work through her feelings and discuss her options. That’s what a wise friend does.

Don’t cheer your friend on for her courage and bravery for choosing to have an affair. She doesn’t need a fan club, she needs help sorting things out. And don’t attempt to live vicariously through her, especially if you’ve been toying with the idea of straying yourself. Instead, get your own affairs in order if you’ve been having relationship troubles.

What to Say to a Friend Who’s Having an AffairNone of us are experts in matters of the heart, particularly when they result in emotional and physical entanglements outside a marriage. While you may not agree with your friend’s decision, don’t judge her. Remember that she’s only human, and when your need for connection and intimacy isn’t being met in a relationship, you can end up in a complicated situation.

Good luck with this. I hope that you and your friend can survive this slippery slope; just try not to slide down it together!

Bayelsa CP Issues Stern Warning To Youth Groups Threatening Patience Jonathan

Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, grand rally in Bayelsa State on February 5, the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Valentine Ntomchukwu, has issued a stern warning to some youth groups threatening to disgrace the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, if she attends the campaign rally.

Two youth groups – Bayelsa Youth Vanguard and the Mangrove Boys of Bayelsa – had, in separate statements, issued in Abuja and Yenagoa, warned Mrs. Jonathan against accompanying her husband, President Goodluck Jonathan, to the rally in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State capital.

The youths, who accused the president’s wife of been a trouble maker and attempting to divide the state like she allegedly did in Rivers State, had vowed to embarrass and disgrace her at the rally.

But Ntomchukwu, while addressing a select group of journalists in Yenagoa on Thursday, urged members of the public to disregard the threat, saying it was the handiwork of faceless groups.

The commissioner said, “I want to appeal to the general public to come out in large numbers to welcome the President and the First Lady who have done so much for this country. These miscreants cannot disrupt the peace of Bayelsa.

“On that day, we will be celebrating because it is the day the President is coming, not necessarily as PDP, but as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. So, they cannot come and tarnish the image of President in his home state”.

The police commissioner assured that security operatives, in their usual way, would provide adequate security for the First Lady and other political groups visiting the state for rallies, campaigns and legitimate businesses.

He, therefore, asked the BYV and the MBB to desist from making such provocative and inciting statements capable of puncturing the existing peace in the state, warning that if they fail to heed his advice, the police will not hesitate to fish them out and deal with them according to the law.

He added, “The police will not hesitate to deal decisively according to the extant laws with any such groups when arrested. I want to assure you that we are already trailing the mangrove boys anywhere they may be.

“So, my advice is that these boys should just go away from the state entirely because since they have done this publication, they have put themselves on a firing line and we are definitely going to pursue them.

“We are operating with intelligence and the agencies are at our disposal. As soon as we catch them, they will face the wrath of the law. Even though they are faceless, any time they become visible we are definitely going to deal with them.

“They call themselves Mangrove Boys and so we are going to turn attention to any information about them, anything about creek activities, anything about underworld activities in the creeks and we will beam our light on them. I am warning them to please give peace a chance because once we get them, we will deal with them according to the law”.

My Achievements In Six Years- Jonathan

Ahead of the presidential election which holds on February 14, President Goodluck Jonathan has disclosed some of his achievements since he assumed office as the president of the country. He promised to do more.

“My dear friends on Facebook, in the following days and weeks, I would be reporting back to you on what I have done with the mandate you gave me four years ago. In many ways, I see you as a special constituency of mine because of the love and support you have shown me on this page since I came on Facebook on the 28th of June 2010,” he posted on his Facebook page.

“The Average Life Expectancy in Nigeria was 47 years in 2010. Five years down the line, working together, we have succeeded in increasing Nigeria’s Average Life Expectancy to 54 years as at today and climbing. And the government I head will not rest on its oars in improving all our health indices to make sure that Nigerians not only live longer lives, but that we live better quality lives.

“And unity is our tool in this regard. The type of unity with which Nigeria defeated the Ebola Virus Disease will be harnessed for use in tackling the challenges in our health sector. Already, we are equipping and upgrading facilities in our teaching hospitals and many are carrying out surgeries they never could, because of equipment.

“Only last year, the United Nations certified Nigeria Guinea Worm free. I am reliably informed that not before long, we will also be certified free of the Wild Polio Virus.

“This is progress. This is Transformation. This is ‪#‎ForwardNigeria GEJ,” the post read.

President Jonathan noted that education is the foundation for the consistent growth of the nation. He therefore pledged the commitment of his administration to the growth of the sector.

“Education is the only foundation that can ensure the consistent growth of a nation. I have always believed that a nation will not become great by the minerals under her ground. Such will only come by developing the human resources of the country.

“When I came on board in 2010, Jigawa, Katsina, Gombe, Nasarawa, Kogi, Ebonyi, Bayelsa, Ekiti, Taraba, Yobe, Kebbi and Zamfara had no Federal University. During my 2011 presidential campaigns, I promised to establish at least one university in these states.

“This is the year 2015 and I have kept my word. Each of those states now has a Federal University. In addition, this administration has built 125 Almajiri schools to cater for our valued children who were outside the formal education system.

“Experts have said that where education increases, fatalities reduces and it is no surprise to the Federal Government that our infant and maternal mortality rates have dropped considerably as our investments in education has increased.

“We will not stop there. Having substantially tackled access to education, our ongoing efforts to improve quality will be intensified. Education is key to our advancement, and we will do this only with your help and cooperation.”

Jonathan further wrote: “When I came into office as President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 6th of May 2010, I met a moribund railway system and I vowed to myself that this vital infrastructure will be revived as it offered the most inexpensive mode of transportation for our people.

“Today, four years later, I am pleased to report to you that our railways are back on track. Our people can now take the Lagos-Kano service for only N1, 930 and the Port Harcourt-Enugu service for only N300.

“I was pleased to read a comment on my page from Oraye St. Franklyn, who took a ride on the Port Harcourt-Enugu service of the Nigerian Railway Corporation. He expressed his delight as a parent that his children had entered a train in Nigeria for the first time in their lives.

“And we are not stopping here. This administration just completed the tracks for the Abuja-Kaduna Standard Gauge Railway. Plans have reached an advan...

FCT Minister Pleads For Corps Members' Allowances

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Senator Bala Mohammed, has called for an increase in the allowances of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members.

The corps members are presently paid N19, 800 monthly by the Federal Government.

But the minister pleaded with President Goodluck Jonathan to look into ways of further reviewing upward the corps members’ allowance “because the youths and the students have been very supportive”.

Speaking during a campaign rally on Tuesday at Gwagwalada Area Council, Abuja, Mohammed also commended the president for reducing the pump price of petrol due to fall in oil prices at the international market.

He described Mr. Jonathan as a democrat and a true leader, who listens to the yearnings of the people, noting that the timely gesture would affect all sectors of the economy positively, particularly commercial transportation of goods and services from the rural to the urban areas.

He said, “Nigerian students have spoken here and they have shown us support, I want the NYSC allowance to be increased. On their behalf I am doing that, and I know he (President Jonathan) would do it one day”.

The minister claimed that Jonathan has delivered on his Transformation Agenda in the FCT citing the completion of the Airport and Kubwa Expressways as well as the completion of the Phases 3 & 4 Water Treatment Plants at the Lower Usman Dam initiated about 14 years ago.

“The water needs of Abuja for the next 50 years has been taken care of by the Jonathan Administration and that is why even water supply to the Gwagwalada Township has drastically improved”, Mohammed asserted.

On resettlement and compensation of original inhabitants of Abuja, the minister said that before now, contracts were awarded by previous governments to provide basic infrastructure in the FCT without adequate attention to resettlement and compensation, but with the Land Swap Initiative inaugurated by President Jonathan about two weeks ago, non-payment of compensation is no longer an issue.

Mr. Mohammed also noted that the FG has almost concluded the issue of FCT Board of Internal Revenue to generate sufficient funds to develop the FCT.

Buhari said: “I only consented to address you this morning because of the genuine concern expressed by many supporters and other well-meaning Nigerians that the issue be addressed. In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja, the Director-General of the Office, Mohammed Amate, also disclosed that six foreign mining companies will commence work next year.

The companies, according to Amate, are Australian mining firm, Kogi Mines Ltd, Segilola Nig. Ltd, Mines Geotechniques Nig. Ltd. and Northern Numero Resources Ltd. Others are West African Polaris Investment Ltd. and Tongyi Allied and Mineral Services Ltd.

Segilola Nig. Ltd would also begin mining of gold in Iperindo area of the IIesha Schist belt of Osun State, as more than one million ounces of gold had already been delineated in the area after the company’s exploration programme, according to Amate,

Mines Geotechniques Nig. Ltd and Northern Numero Resources Ltd, also Australian companies, will both begin mining of gold in Kebbi.

Amate noted that the Federal Government had last year signed an agreement with the companies, to commence mining their discoveries.

Once Dangote concludes its coal exploration in 2015, it is expected to immediately commence mining of the resource in Kogi and Benue. The company holds mining titles covering limestone, coal and gypsum.

Chinese miner, West African Polaris Investment Ltd, would commence mining of tin and columbite in Nasarawa State, while Tongyi Allied and Mineral Services Ltd, another Chinese company, would begin mining of lead/zinc in Wasa, Plateau State.

With the Chinese companies having successfully delineated their reserves, Amate said the two companies would commence major mining operation in various locations in the two states.

He revealed that 169 Small Scale Mining Companies had already begun mining gemstone, gold, lead/zinc, columbite/Tantalite among others across the country.

The MCO DG advised the miners to ensure their work is done in accordance with the law, pay their fees promptly to the government, and also reclaim mining sites after their activities.

He also warned them not to discharge any harmful materials into the environment. “If you are discharging anything you make sure that you discharge safely. You make sure you check the acidic, PH value. Do not discharge anything harmful,” he stressed.

Jonathan Hopeful Woman Will One Day Become President In Nigeria

President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday expressed the hope of a woman becoming Nigeria’s president in his life time.

Mr. Jonathan, who said this at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi, noted that women in the country are intelligent and hard working.

He insisted that women should be encouraged to participate in governance, especially politics.

“My hope is that a female will one day occupy the position of the president of this country.

“I will also like to see Nigerian women who have distinguished themselves in their various field make more global impact”, he said.

Mr. Jonathan, who commended women for supporting PDP, solicited their support by voting for him in the Feb. 14 presidential poll.

Similarly, the First Lady, Patience Jonathan, who addressed women at the campaign, urged them to vote for the president as “one of their own”.

“Nigerian women, you cannot exchange your own for another.

“You must belong to a place or group where you are accorded full recognition.

“And PDP is that place; we have no other party”, she said.

Chibok People Disappointed As Jonathan Makes No Mention Of Missing Girls On Borno Visit

The people of Chibok on Friday said President Goodluck Jonathan was not sincere about the search for their daughters abducted on April 14, 2014 from their Government Secondary School.

The town spoke through the spokesman of Kibaku community, Dr. Allen Mannaseh. To make matters worse, the president said nothing about it during his visit to Maiduguri on Thursday, according to Thisday.

In an unexpected visit, Jonathan was in Maiduguri on Thursday, where he checked on the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). Thursday’s visit was the first time the president would visit Borno state since the abduction of the girls.

Not good: Another APC office destroyed in Rivers

by Azubuike Azikiwe

Another office of the All Progressives Congress, in Ngor, Rivers state, has been attacked with a dynamite by unknown gunmen.
Oromte Erefokuma, Chairman of the party in Andoni local government, disclosed that the party office was destroyed with dynamite in the early hours of Friday, January 15.
He said: “The APC office at Ngor was attacked by unknown persons in the early hours of Friday. Nobody was hurt, but the office was destroyed.”
Meanwhile, the Rivers Police Command says it has received a report of an attack on the APC office at Ngor, Andoni Local Government Area.
Spokesperson of the state police, DSP Ahmad Muhammad, while speaking with journalists in Port Harcourt, said: “We have received a report of the incident. Details are sketchy, but we have commenced investigation into the incident.”
Muhammad also stated the police had commenced a manhunt for gunmen who attacked the campaign team of Nyesom Wike, governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abua town, Rivers.
“Policemen accompanying the team responded and chased away the gunmen. Nobody was hurt. No arrest was made and we have commenced serious manhunt for the perpetrators of the act,” Muhammad said.

INEC Weighs Options On Fresh Voter Registration, Those With PVC Issues

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Friday said it was still considering fresh voter registration for eligible persons yet to register and for those with Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) problem.

Mr Emmanuel Idakwo, the Head of INEC office in Abuja Municipal Area Council, Karu, gave this hint in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.

Idakwo said that many unregistered persons trooped into INEC office daily with various complaints, adding that the situation had put the commission under pressure which may engender fresh registration for few days.

He said that there were people with Temporary Voter’s Cards (TVCs) but whose names were not found in the PVC register.

He explained that such category of persons could be allowed to have new registration to enable them to exercise their rights during the elections.

Idakwo said that aside from the pressure from individuals, the commission was also mindful of President Goodluck Jonathan’s directive that every eligible Nigerian must be allowed to vote.

“There is need for such people to be given the chance to register”, he said.

On TVC holders whose names were missing in the permanent voters’ register, he said the problem may have arisen from absence of their thumb print on the temporary cards.

According to him, such people cannot find their names on the PVC register and need to undertake new registration.

On whether INEC would allow the use of temporary card holders to vote in the elections, Idakwo said that the only way it would be permitted ‘’is when the PVCs for the affected TVCs are not ready for collection.

“But in a case where the PVCs are available in the various offices of INEC in the country, why can’t these persons with their TVCs go and collect their PVCs”, he said.

He therefore advised persons yet to collect their PVCs to go to centres where they registered and collect the new cards.

He stated that collection centres in the country had been decentralised to ease collection of the PVCs. (NAN).

Tony Elumelu Unveils $100m Entrepreneurship Programme

BY YINKA KOLAWOLE, with agency report
Chairman of Heirs Holdings and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, Mr. Tony Elumelu, has launched a $100 million program to support and promote entrepreneurship across Africa.
Elumelu first hinted of the programme in August at the 2014 US-Africa Leaders Summit held in Washington. He said that the initiative, which he described as “a $100 million endowment to encourage the maturation of African entrepreneurs”, is intended to help up to 10,000 budding African entrepreneurs to develop their ideas into sustainable businesses.
“We will be providing $100m to 10,000 entrepreneurs across Africa through the soon-to-be-launched Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme. By democratising access to opportunity, with an emphasis on tapping into the talent of Africa’s young people, this programme strives to “institutionalise luck”, which is a key factor in the success of any entrepreneur,” he stated.
Seed capital and mentoring
Specifically, the programme is to provide 1,000 entrepreneurs a year for the next 10 years with seed capital of $5,000 and additional returnable capital of up to $5,000. According to Elumelu, by making half of the money returnable, programme participants are encouraged to develop a sense of responsibility. “I want to make sure there is some spirit of accountability,” he added.
The application process will begin in January 2015 with the announcement of the first 1,000 participants expected by the end of March. In order to be eligible for the initial $5,000 seed capital, successful applicants will have to go through a 12-week online mentoring and training program.
Parminder Vir, Director of the entrepreneurship program, explained: “The business skills training program will give them tools they need to go out and physically implement the lessons they learn.”
The online program will draw on content specifically designed to address the challenges African businesses will face.
“During that stage they will have mentors to help them, as well as access to a curated online library to enable them to find information that is relevant to their business,” Vir added. At the end of the 12 weeks, the 1,000 start-ups will attend a three-day forum in Nigeria. “That event will sow the seed for intra-Africa trade, for pan-Africa trade,” she said.
Africa’s economic integration
Elumelu, promoting the long-term growth of intra-African trade is one of the key goals of the project. “Intra-African trade is quite low, partly because Africa was wired from colonial times to facilitate trade only with the rest of the world, and partly because of the nature of what we’re trading. We have raw materials but we don’t have the processing capacity to transform them into products that will be useful in Africa.
We hope that the successful entrepreneurs in this program will show interest in industrialisation of the continent.
That will help us produce more finished goods, which will encourage trade and also put pressure on political leaders to create economic zones, or to enable the movement of goods, people and payments that will facilitate intra-African trade,” he stated.
Elumelu acknowledged that the program is ambitious, both in its scale and complexity, and that it is unlikely all the entrepreneurs who join will emerge with successful businesses. “If we achieve 30 percent to 50 percent success rate we would have helped significantly in helping the development of the continent,” he added.
Job creation
Wiebe Boer, CEO of Tony Elumelu Foundation, said the businesses supported by the program are expected to create at least one million new jobs and generate $10 billion of new revenues.
Beyond the promise of receiving financing, mentoring and support, entrepreneurs have an additional incentive to apply – the chance of having their business noticed by Heirs Holding as a potential investment opportunity.
According to Elumelu: “Heirs Holdings is a pan-African private investment company. If we see very promising companies ....

Fani-Kayode Says Buhari Not Qualified To Contest Election

The Presidential Campaign Organisation of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd), the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is not qualified to contest in the presidential election of February 14.

According to the Director of Media for the organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who spoke to newsmen in Abuja on Saturday, Buhari’s inability to present his credentials to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) contravenes the provision of the Nigerian Constitution.

Fani-Kayode accused INEC of not following the law by publishing the name of a candidate without receiving his particulars within seven days of receiving his nomination forms as stipulated by law.

“It has been brought to our attention that the INEC, either by omission or commission, may be engaged in acts that do not in every material particular, support the advancement of democracy the rule of law and strict adherence to the letters in the spirit of electoral laws in Nigeria.

“The inability of the All Progressives Congress’ General Muhammadu Buhari, to present even the minimum requirement of just a leaving school certificate, questions his credentials for pursuing the position of the president of Nigeria.

“From what INEC has published, Buhari has not submitted any personal particulars of his leaving school certificate for the 2015 elections,” he said.

Issues have been raised about Buhari’s education, as the former head of state said his certificates are with the Nigerian Army.

The authorities of the Nigerian Army however said it will readily release credentials and certificates in its custody to serving and retired officers in need of them.

Happening Now: The World Comes To Paris For Unity Rally. #CharlieHebdo

Today On #CharlieHebdo Magazine Attacks in Paris, The World Comes To Paris For Unity Rally.

When Will WAEC Grant Pardon To Those Who Returned Their Certificate?

Ever since fifteen born-again Nigerians returned their WAEC result to WAEC, I have been wondering why WAEC has not granted general pardon to them. These men did not cheat without having WAEC assistance as we all know that most WAEC supervisors are not immune from bribery.

It is blatantly illegal to cheat during exam, but taking such bold step to return ones certificate is worthy of granting a general pardon. “Go and sin no more” remains the best forgiveness man should give to a fellow man.

The nonchalance with which WAEC has responded to the returned certificates is a call for concern. They are many Nigerians that did same to pass their WAEC, and this wouldn’t have been made possible if those WAEC representatives in the exam hall did not give the go ahead.

The thrust of this piece is that WAEC should grant a general pardon to not only the fifteen, but also to everybody that their not immune to receiving bribe aided to pass their exam.

Having done this, they should call those supervisors who did the dirty ‘deal’ to order and likewise forgive them. They should also do something to stop this travesty of education. The situation is dire and looking bleaker everyday.

The Federal Government on Saturday, said it had released N3 billion for disbursement to victims of the 2011 post-election violence in Kaduna state.

Vice President, Namadi Sambo disclosed this at the 40th anniversary of Alhaji Shehu Idris as Emir of Zazzau, held at his palace in Zaria, Kaduna State.

The VP was represented by Kaduna State Governor, Muktar Yero. According to him, the money which was already in the coffers of the state government would be disbursed to the affected victims accordingly.

He however stressed the importance of living together in peace, saying it makes it easier for government at all levels to provide the dividend of democracy to the electorate.

Yero, who spoke on behalf of Sambo, congratulated the Emir for attaining 40 years on the throne. He attributed the success recorded by the Emirate to patience, fairness, justice and truthfulness.

Gen. Yakubu Gowon (Rtd), former Head of State and Chairman of the occasion lauded the Emir for supporting government’s policies and programmes in addition to promoting the nation’s cultural heritage.

“We must work for the people, we must ensure that our people live a life worthy of living and we must fear God Almighty in all we do.

Jonathan Is Not Able To Control His Wife

According to the information revealed by the famous and scandal Wikileaks source, first Lady of Nigeria Patience Jonathan runs her own show and the husband has little or no control over her.

Intercepted email data were provided by an anonymous US cable and leaked by Wikileaks. It should be noted that two persons whose correspondence were promulgated, have corporative mail of Stratfor, an American publisher and global intelligence company founded in 1996.

The message stresses that Patience has a more forceful personality than her husband.

An unknown man who quoted a source in Bayelsa State, said the First Lady has tremendous influence over President Goodluck Jonathan and his administration at the time he was governor of Bayelsa State.

The message says:“Jonathan, then governor of Bayelsa managed to distance himself from the wife when the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) seized USD 13.5 million from Mrs. Jonathan at an airport in 2006. Reports indicated the money was laundered through an associate; Jonathan managed to distance himself from the deal. The anti-graft commission investigating the source of the money has reported no findings to date”.

The report also informs that Jonathan’s defining characteristic of loyalty, recalled that when his former boss, Diepreye Alamieyesiegha was arrested in London:“Jonathan was reluctant to take over as governor or to appear too eager to fill his superior’s shoes.”

“He waited until he was compelled by the presidency to claim the governorship,” the report said pointing out that President Jonathan is supporting the Alamieyesiegha family.

Besides, Wikileaks said it was Jonathan’s loyalty that likely compelled President Obasanjo to select him as Yar’adua’s running mate, “perhaps to forestall the type of conflict Obasanjo perceived himself to have experienced with Atiku.”

Summarising all this information it could be said that in case of Jonathan’s 2015 win Nigera should be concentrated not only at GEJ’s political power, but Patience’s plans and views.

2015 Glo-CAF Awards Who wears the crown?

As Enyeama, Aubameyang battle Toure
Cote d’Ivoire skipper Yaya Toure will battle Nigeria captain Vincent Enyeama and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the biggest individual accolade on offer in African football.
The annual award ceremony is scheduled for tonight in Lagos and will be graced by many bigwigs in African football and beyond. The event begins at 7 pm at the International Events Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Cote d’Ivoire star Yaya has been in superb form for the past four years and without taking anything away from Enyeama and Aubameyang, he is being tipped to again be the king of Africa after he first won it in 2011.
The Ivorian was pivotal as Manchester city won the English Premier League, featured at the 2014 FIFA
World Cup even if Cote d’Ivoire exited in the first round at Brazil and helped them qualify for AFCON 2015.
Yaya will thus equal the record of Cameroon striker Samuel Eto’o, who has also won the award four times, but the City midfielder wins, he will go a step further by setting a new record of winning it for four straight years as Eto’o only won three of his four awards in a row.
Yaya Toure has made himself the heartbeat of Manchester City to the extent that if he is not on the pitch or is off form, the team have also been known to struggle.
He is also the main source of inspiration for the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire following the retirement from international football of Didier Drogba.
The energetic midfielder provides assists as well as scores crucial goals for both club and country.
Enyeama has been a consistent performer for Lille and Nigeria, and the best goalkeeper in France for year 2014 is looking forward to create an upset against the Ivorian  to end the drought for Nigeria player not winning the award since Nwankwo Kanu achieved this milestone in 1999.
The votes of the 56 national coaches in Africa and their technical directors will decide the winner.
In the female African footballer of the year category, the golden girl of Nigeria football, Asisat Oshoala look good to be crown as Africa’s best female star for 2014.
The youngster is far and away from rival nominees Cameroon’s Annette Ndom and fellow Nigerian Desire Oparanozie.
She will also scoop the Youth Player Award ahead of Sunday Uchechi and Cameroon goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa, who features for the Barcelona reserves but has now installed himself as his country’s No. 1 shot stopper.
The Rivers Angels striker has done enough to clinch the award as she was the Most Valuable Player at FIFA U20 World Cup as well as the African Women’s Championship in Namibia late last year.
She also won a league and cup double with Rivers Angels in the year under review.
This 20-year-old is the new deal complete with great technique, has an eye for goal and her versatility means she can play both in attack and midfield.

LA Galaxy Confirm the Signing of Steven Gerrard

LA Galaxy have announced the signing of Steven Gerrard from Liverpool.

Terms of the deal have yet to be disclosed, but Gerrard is expected to arrive in Los Angeles durin the Major League Soccer (MLS) summer transfer window in July, at whose point the ongoing Premier League season would have been completed.

LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena confirmed earlier on Thursday that an agreement has been reached in principle, adding that the club will “have a plan available” for the former England captain upon his arrival.

“We’re very pleased to acquire a player of Steven’s caliber, experience and character,” Arena told the club’s official website.
Gerrard made his senior debut in November 1998 and has amassed a total of 695 appearances so far in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit. He has won the Uefa Champions League, the Uefa Cup (now Europa League) and Uefa Super Cup, including three League Cup successes and two FA Cup winners’ medal.

“The Galaxy are the most successful club in Major League Soccer history and I am looking forward to competing for more championships in the years to come,” Gerrard, 34, said.

“My discussions with Bruce Arena and Chris Klein were extremely positive and the future of the team is very bright. I am committed to helping the LA Galaxy compete for trophies and to having an impact in Los Angeles and I will give my all for the club.

“In the meantime, I will continue to give everything for Liverpool for the remainder of this season before joining up with the Galaxy.”

Gerrard’s 114 international caps is the third most of any English player in history. He represented England in three World Cup finals, including 2006 (Germany), 2010 (South Africa) and 2014 (Brazil). He also featured for the ‘Three Lions’ at the UEFA European Football Championships in 2000, 2004 and 2012.

Toure is Favourite but Enyeama Deserves Caf Player Of The Year

The Glo Caf Award Gala comes up at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Thursday, January 8.

Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure is on the verge of another record-breaking feat, but must first see off the challenges of Nigeria goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, for the annual accolade voted for by coaches and captains of the continent’s national teams.

Vincent Enyeama

Regarded as the best goalkeeper on the black continent, many believe the LOSC Lille stalwart has the credential to become the first non outfield player to win the top prize.

Only legendary Cameroon goalkeeper Thomas Nkono and Badou Ezzaki from Morocco have won this award, in its previous format organized by France Football magazine.

Zaki was recognised as the best African player in 1986 following his performance at the 1986 Fifa World Cup and the Moroccan championship same year. Nkono was twice named the best African footballer in 1979 and 1982, the latter coming on the back of an impressive run at Espana 82 as the Indomitable Lions went out in the group stages without losing a match, with Nkono conceding just once against Italy.

While the chances of a goalkeeper winning a top football prize, keep dwindling with the emergence of lanky midfielders, pacy and predatory forwards and imperious wingers, Enyeama could yet push far for the Caf African Player of the Year award this term judging by his record at both international and club level.

“If he wins it, he deserved it because in the last few years he has been the best goalkeeper in Africa,” said Super Eagles assistant manager Daniel Amokachi.

“At the same time he has been fantastic in the last two seasons in the French league, even this year winning the best goalkeeper in France.”

Vincent Enyeama in Contention for the Caf Player of the Year 2014 Award.

Enyeama kept 11 consecutive clean sheets in league matches during the first half of the 2013/14 campaign, falling shy of Gaetan Huard’s overall French Ligue 1 goalkeeping record of successive clean sheets (1,176mins) by only 115 minutes.
He went on to feature in all Super Eagles matches at the 2014 Fifa World Cup in Brazil, helping the side reach the knockout stages before eventually losing out to France in Brasilia.

He won the RFI-France 24 Marc-Vivien Foe Award for the best African Player in the French Ligue 1 for the 2013/14 season and was named the best goalkeeper in the French top division in 2014.

“He would be up against tough and stiff opposition. You know Yaya Toure is probably in the best form of his life and we always seem to look at giving the award to strikers who are doing well. I think that is the only disadvantage for Enyeama going into the award,” Amokachi, who came third behind compatriot Nwankwo Kanu and George Weah at the 1996 Gala noted.

Yaya Toure

Yaya Toure is a sure bet for a fourth successive African Footballer of the Year title on the heel of another successful 2013-14 season with Premier League champions Manchester City.

Yaya Toure Has Won the AFOTY Award Since Beating Malian Seydou Kaita to Second Position in 2011. Image: AFP.

The Cote d’Ivoire playmaker is on the verge of becoming the first player to win the award four times on the trot, overtaking Cameroonian Samuel Eto’O, who won the prize between 2003 and 2005 and claimed his last in 2010.
Toure suffered another harsh fate at the World Cup as Cote d’Ivoire failed to advance into the round of 16, all thanks to a last-gasp goal by Greece in their final group stage match. The Elephants yet needed a final day push during the final tournament for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations to clinch their ticket for the Equatorial Guinea finals.

Moreover, Toure was accountable for Man City’s equaliser against Sunderland in the 2014 League Cup final, which the Etihad Stadium outfit won 3-1. His 20 goals in 35 matches helped...

INEC Says 2015 Election Will Not Be Postponed

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said it would not postpone the elections February 2014, despite fears raised in some quarters that preparations for the elections was not solid enough for it to hold as soon as next month.

Dr Ishmaeal Igbani, Chairman, INEC Electoral Training Institute, who spoke on behalf of the commission at a workshop for the training of security agencies in Abuja, said INEC was fully ready to conduct the 2015 elections, noting that the commission was comfortable with the fund it has at its disposal at the moment.

“Anytime there is election in Nigeria, there is always some form of tension. I have been around for a while, I don’t think it is something new. I don’t think people should be afraid. But it is also essential that we get ready just in case,” Igbani said.

“It is also very important that we have peaceful elections, it is also important that voters come out to vote without fear. It is also important that the personnel who will work for us and the environment itself is peaceful and for it to be peaceful, it is important for the security agencies to be alert and ensure that they do what they are supposed to do,” he added.

The Inspector General of Police, Sulieman Abba warned politicians in the country against heating up the polity through their negative utterances. He vowed that the police would not hesitate to deal with political actors who flout the electoral rules as stipulated in the Electoral Act.

Jonathan Inaugurates Campaign Team

President Goodluck Jonathan has inaugurated his campaign organisation ahead of the February 2015 election.

The inauguration, which was earlier slated for Monday was postponed following the death of the president’s younger sister, Mrs Nancy Jonathan-Obei.

He used the occasion to assure Nigerians and the international community that the general elections would be free, fair and credible.

According to him, the election would ensure continuity of democracy in the country.

He therefore urged leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)to encourage members of the campaign organisation so as to ensure that all campaigns were issue-based.

The president also commissioned campaign vehicles for the elections, as a nationwide campaign commences.

NIMC Urges Enrolled Nigerians To Collect ID Cards

The National Identity Management Commission, NIMC, has advised eligible Nigerians, who enrolled for the national identity number, to collect their Identity Cards (ID) at stipulated centres.

Abdul-Hamid Umar, the General Manager, Corporate Communications of the commission, made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos on Sunday.

According to him, the commission has notified people who enrolled and whose cards were ready by sending text messages.

“Many Nigerians have been enrolled in the national identity data base, though we are far behind the expectation.

“Nigerians, who have received text messages personalised to them, giving information that their ID cards are ready, should come to our centres for collection”, he said.

He said that the appropriate centres for the collection of cards had been stipulated in such messages.

Mr. Umar said that there were some Nigerians who had not come for enrolment in the national identity data-base.

He said the commission was committed to ensuring that every eligible Nigerian was enrolled and issued ID card for identification.

In a separate interview,Titilola Ejiofor, an Assistant General Manager and Lagos State Coordinator of the commission, said that the commission had 21 enrolment centres in the state.

According to her, the centres are Lagos State Head office in Ikeja, Lagos State University, Ikeja Army Cantonment, Eti-Osa, Ojo, Somolu, Oshodi, Amunwo-Odofin, Ayobo-Ipaja and Agege Local Government Secretariat.

Others are FIRS Ikoyi, Lekki Phase I, Bonny Camp, Nigeria Air-force Base, Ikeja, Lagos State Polytechnic, Yaba College of Technology and University of Lagos.

Ojo Army Cantonment, NMC Qourra Apapa and Ijele Campus, Lagos Island are also parts of the centres, according to her.

Mrs. Ejiofor, who expressed satisfaction over the turnout of Lagos residents for the exercise, added that a lot of eligible residents had been captured.

“A lot of people have registered in Lagos and in the country as a whole. So many people in Lagos have registered.

“People have been very positive, they come out each day to be enrolled and we have been given ID cards to them.

“We are opening more centres in the state, we are not just going to stop at the current available centres”, she said.

According to her, a Nigerian of 16 years old and above can visit any centre with valid means of identification such as Driver’s Licence, International Passpor,t and Voter’s Card.

She said documents such as educational certificate, photo identity from recognised educational institutions, pension’s photo ID and photo credit cards, among others, could also be used for enrolment.

Mrs. Ejiofor, therefore, advised Nigerians to come out in the New Year for enrolment, saying that the registration would be a continuous exercise.

Top 10 Things That Women Loves About Men But Will Never Say It

Men do a lot of things to try and attract women. Some of them work, and well, some of them crash and burn. The problem is that most men really have no idea what women find attractive about men. This is what leads them to shooting in the dark and hoping for the best.

To really get your attraction levels soaring you have to know what women actually find attractive about men, all the time, not some time. Take the guess work out of attraction.

1. Dominance – Women absolute love dominance in a man. Now this doesn’t mean you walk around like the best thing since sliced bread and chain your woman to the stove, but it does mean you are in control. You take control, you command control and your control is incredibly attractive to females.

2. Confidence – Similar to dominance, confidence will make women swoon over you. They adore the alpha male that stands in front of the line. You can’t be the little puppy that just falls in line. Be sure and proud of who you are, confidence in yourself and what you do is what will reel women in like the catch of the day.

3. Relax – Women really like it when you seem calm and relaxed. Now this doesn’t mean you need to pop a Valium before talking to a woman but it does mean you need to take a few deep breaths and just cool it. When you appear relaxed women will take notice at how cool calm and collected you are.

4. Hygiene – An incredibly important and yet overlooked part of attracting women is hygiene. Yes, appearances are important, they are what shows the world how you care for yourself. Poor hygiene shows that you don’t respect yourself and that DOES NOT attract women. It’s also important because I don’t know a single time when two people met eyes across a crowded room and said “Wow he looks smart.”

5. Be Fun – When you are the “life of the party” everyone INCLUDING women want to be around you. They see fun people and automatically assume they will have fun being around them. Now being fun can be anything from being a social butterfly to always having a good time no matter where you go. No matter which suits you BE FUN and women will respond.

6. Be Positive – Being happy will really attract great attention. No one wants to hang out with a gloomy Gus, so if you’re moping around you are not going to attract women, in fact it will be the antithesis of attraction. You will push people away. You will find them turning and walking the opposite direction rather than engaging you.

7. Be Generous – Being giving is a good way to get female attention and it will be very positive attention. This doesn’t mean kill your bank account trying to be the cool guy that gives everything anyone asks for, but it does mean you shouldn’t shy away from offering drinks, food or something that will help them at that moment. Giving will make you appear to be the care taker and women love when men take care of them.

8. Be Chivalrous – As much as people say “Chivalry is dead” it doesn’t mean it can’t be revived. And trust me women will eat it up like the last box of Chunk Munky ice cream. Open doors for them, pull chairs out and be all around a knight in shining armor. Chivalry is NOT dead and it will win women over time and time again.

9. Be Spontaneous – Spontaneity shows excitement and women don’t want to be a part of a humdrum life. Women love spontaneous acts of passion and romance. They love it when they are surprised and when you keep things interesting no woman will be able to resist.

10. Show Commitment – Before you freak out and have a heart attack this doesn’t mean you should get down on one knee and ask the girl to marry you. It just means you need to show her you are capable of commitment and you don’t shy away from it like most men. Women love when men can commit and showing her you can, will lock in your position at the top of her list.
