‘It’s an attack on Nigeria’: Gov. Kwankwaso visits Kano bomb blast victims

The Governor of Kano, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has paid a visit to the injured victims of Sunday’s bomb blast in the state.

The bomb exploded in a bar in Sabon Gari, a section of the state occupied predominantly by foreigners.

The governor described the attack as one against the whole of Nigeria as he promised to pay the hospital bills of those who were affected.
Kwankwaso said:

“Attack on Sabon Gari is an attack on Nigeria. Sabon Gari accommodates different ethnic groups from many parts of the country’’, he said.
The governor said that the state government in conjunction with the security agencies would ensure that the attacks were stopped so that no more innocent lives would be lost.
Sunday’s attack is said to have claimed 10 lives in a state which was once a hotbed for violence but has recently beein enjoying an uneasy peace.
