FG To Close Public Offices, Schools For World Economic Forum?

President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has ordered the closure of all business activities within the city of ABUJA between May 7th to 9th, the period when the World Economic Forum on Africa will hold. All government offices as well as schools will be closed down for those periods of days

All residents and non-delegates have been warned to stay away from the International Conference Centre (ICC), ABUJA, to avoid unnecessary embarrassment from security operatives. Security will be placed as far as 200metres to the ICC, as 6,000 operatives will be deployed to ensure security of the forum.

About 12 heads of states and 900 delegates are expected at the WEF in Abuja.
