Newsonline-- The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of
God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has said that Nigeria will be
great again, assuring citizens to remain hopeful.
In
his birthday message to the nation on Sunday as he celebrates 72, at
the National Headquarters of the RCCG, Throne of Grace, Ebutte-Metta,
Lagos, Adeboye said that Nigeria belongs to God and it does not matter
what is going around the country, Nigeria will be great again.
Speaking
through his special assistant on Administration and Personnel, Pastor
Johnson Odesola said that Adeboye noted that “2014 is a glorious year
and a brand new beginning for as many that will put their trust in God
and not in man in the face of numerous challenges facing the country”. Continue.
On
the ongoing insurgency in parts of the north which has led to the
killing of innocent lives, he said “we definitely cannot agree to the
terms of Boko Haram as the condition that western education is sin is
terrible but let us hear them out while we also apply the use of force
to cub the violence attack on innocent lives”.
Odesola,
who was very optimistic, said Boko Haram will soon come to an end as
Nigerians has in the past experiences one form of religious war and God
intervene. Boko Haram will very soon be a history.
Odesola
said “our father in the lord had declare 100 days of prayer and fasting
for individual as well as the for the well being of the nation which
was supported by many general overseers and we are praying and very
hopeful that God will do something new in Nigeria”.
Highlighting
the secret of Adeboye’s success of life and ministry, Odesola said “God
and his overflowing grace, casting all his cares on God, regular
exercise, openness to people and love for everyone are his secrets.
“Pastor
Adeboye is so humble, respectful and gives his follower the freedom to
display their God given gift which has help in expanding the church”.
He
noted that destructive criticism has been the greatest challenge of
Pastor Adeboye who often times is open to the best idea to move the
church forward.
“Destructive
criticism within and outside of the church has been is major challenge
but he has learnt to focus on Jesus who has called him and is able to
keep and sustain him all the way.”
