Last year, Yusuf, who is widely compared to Juventus star Paul Pogba, moved to Belgian champions Gent from where he was loaned out to Norwegian club FK Haugesund.
The midfielder said he now hopes to use Pillars as a springboard to greatness, just like Super Eagles skipper Ahmed Musa, who was sourced from the same Aminchi Football Academy in Bukuru.
“I have always dreamt of playing for Kano Pillars and so did not hesitate to return to Nigeria when I got the chance to do so,” Yusuf disclosed.
“I hope to help Pillars win many trophies and also use this opportunity to make a name for myself, just like Ahmed Musa did when he played for the club.
“I have settled down thanks to my fellow players, the officials as well as the fans.
“I promise I will not disappoint.”
Ahmed Musa set a then all-time goals record of 18 goals in a single season when he starred for Pillars on loan from Aminchi Academy in 2010 and six years later, some of Europe’s top clubs are now ready to fork out over 20 million pounds for him.
Yusuf is now awaiting his international transfer papers before he will make his official debut for Pillars.
