Carl Ikeme grateful to Oliseh for Eagles chance

Nigeria goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has expressed his appreciation to former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh for giving him the chance to play for the country.

However, the Wolvehampton Wanderers first-choice goalkeeper said he is disappointed to see the former Ajax player quit his post on Thursday.

"Sad to see Sunday Oliseh resign. Would like to thank him for all his efforts and giving me the opportunity to represent the Super Eagles🇳🇬," Ikeme tweeted.

England-born Ikeme, 29, made his Eagles debut in September in Tanzania, where he kept a clean sheet.

He has since established himself as Nigeria top-choice goalkeeper after Lille shot stopper Vincent Enyeama retired from international football.
