Okpotu fires to top of goals chart

    Lobi Stars striker Tony Okpotu and Shooting Stars forward Wasiu Jimoh are the joint leading scorers in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after four rounds of matches with four goals each.

The former Al Ittihad of Libya striker fired a brace to help Lobi beat El Kanemi Warriors 3-0 on Wednesday, while Jimoh netted his team's consolation goal against IfeanyiUbah in a 3-1 loss.

Okpotu netted 12 goals last season when he rejoined his hometown club.



Wikki Tourists’ Godwin Obaje and Rivers United's Fredrick Obomate are on three goals each.

The following players have two goals each: Musa Newman(MFM), Kufre Ebong(Akwa), Prince Aggreh(Pillars), Sunday David(Giwa) and Michael Olaha(Abia).

Last season, Gbolahan Salami emerged goal king with 17 goals.
