Come February 18, 2018, three of Nigeria’s finest singers cum live music performers, Simi, Adekunle Gold and Praiz, will headline a live music concert tagged ‘100% Live’, a music experience which will go down in history as one of the biggest outdoor music concerts ever.
The maiden edition of the historic music festival scheduled to hold at the Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos will feature the best alternative and mainstream music in a carnival-like atmosphere that promises music lovers an unforgettable experience, the raw and passionate energy that resonates from live music.
Fully supported by their individual live bands, Simi, Praiz and Adekunle Gold have promised to bring their A’game to the stage as they reel out 100% live performances of all their hit songs to the listening pleasure of guests.
“Everything makes it special because then you can recreate something that is already existing; for example, when I and my band are making a song we can change the arrangement of the song, like the guitars, the drums can all be recreated to make it slow or fast, you can do something entirely different, that’s why I prefer live band because you can do anything with it. So, 100% Live Concert is going to be the same case; I think I’ve grown as a performer over the years because starting out I was more of a recording artiste, but now I’m always really excited to go on stage and just vibe with my band and give the audience the time of their lives. I think the most important thing when you’re doing live band is that your band is in sync with you so that all the loose ends are tied especially during rehearsals. It’s me, Praiz and Adekunle Gold so just wait and see there are going to be a lot of pleasant surprises that day”, said Simi.
Praiz added, “This concert is unique and not the usual we’re used to in this part of the world. An awful lot of music is more a product of technicians and engineers than musicians and instruments, so this really is a breath of fresh air, literally. Real people, real food, real fun, and real music, it’s a 100% for me. There is absolutely nothing more surreal than meeting someone whose work you truly admire. Fans will also get to meet their favourite artists and share priceless moments with them at 100% Live.”
