It’s normal to act insane when crushing on someone. Boys can be confusing, so you don’t know if your feelings are being wasted or if they’re going to pay off in the end.
Although love is a beautiful emotion, it sure can drive us crazy. Here are some of the most ridiculous things we’ve all done when crushing on someone:
1. STALKING HIS SOCIAL MEDIA
You’ll check his Facebook page every single day in order to see if his relationship status changed. If he has an Instagram or a Twitter or a Tumblr or a Google+ account, you’ll check those as well. It doesn’t matter if he rarely logs on, or if you’re too terrified to add him as a friend. One of the silly things we do when crushing on someone is constantly check their social media sites in order to see if we can find some new information about them that will help us win them over. 2. FORCING YOURSELF TO BE INTERESTED IN HIS INTERESTS
If you know your crush is in a screamo band, then he’s only going to want to date girls who enjoy that type of music, right? In order to get him to love you, you download songs from all of the bands you’ve seen him wearing on his shirts. You’ve never been interested in Pierce the Veil before, but now it’s your favorite band.
3. PLANING YOUR OUTFITS
If you know you’re going to see your crush, you decide to dress in your best clothes. You spend an hour making sure your liner looks perfect and your lip gloss is applied correctly. If, for some horrible reason, you don’t end up seeing him that day, you’re disappointed, because all of your hard work was wasted.
4. CONSTANTLY MENTIONING HIM
You have to put up with your friends’ ramblings, so they have to put up with yours. Of course, that fact doesn’t make them feel any better when you’re constantly going on and on about your crush. They get it. They know you’re crazy about him, and they want you to change the subject. Of course, they’ll deal with your drooling anyway, because that’s what friends are for.
5. ANALYZING EVERY WORD
He sent you a text message an hour ago, and you haven’t stopped stressing out over it. It only says “hey,” but you don’t understand why he said it. Does he actually want to talk? Or is he only texting you, because he feels obliged to? He’s messing with your mind, and you can’t take it.
6. HATING YOUR COMPETITION
When your crush is single, and a girl approaches him, you instantly hate her. She might be the nicest person in the world, but for as long as she’s standing next to your man, smiling like a beauty queen, you can’t stand her. Your love for him makes you hate everybody around him.
7. CRYING OVER HIM
There’s nothing wrong with shedding a few tears, but crying over a crush can be silly. If he doesn’t want you, then it’s his loss. You can find someone way better than he is, and he’ll treat you the way you deserve.
