Singer Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo known as D’Banj is currently making headlines on social media with his revelation at the recently held Social Media Week which began on February 26, 2018.

According to the Koko Master, he has set his mind not to embark on any tour until he is certain that there is enough for him to say it was a success and profit-making. “I will go on tour in Nigeria when I know there is profit in it, not just to satisfy fans and go home broke,” he stated.

What Spotify must do to survive

The fact that Spotify exists at all is something of a minor miracle: unknown Swedish company convinces major record labels to upload millions upon millions of songs for people to listen to without buying them. It must have been quite the pitch.
Sure, the labels get royalties but it's pennies - fractions of pennies - on what they used to get from "traditional" online sales.
Regardless, it's been clear for a long time that streaming is the music industry's future.
On Wednesday, Spotify announced it would go public - but that's not to say it is here to stay. The company has long been surrounded by threats, and it's no different today.
Apple, Amazon and Google are also in the streaming game and - unlike Spotify - all sell devices on which consumers can listen to music.
And while Spotify has signed deals with all the "big three" record labels - Warner, Universal and Sony - it is the music executives that still hold the bargaining chips.
Even if Spotify has been able to negotiate a lower per-listen payment, the combined cost of paying out royalties only ever follows one trajectory: up.

Lawyer, Leadership Consultant & Good Governance Advocate! Timi Olagunju is #BellaNaijaMCM this Week

From his university days, #BellaNaijaMCM this week, Timi Olagunju, has been involved in leadership and service. He ran for Chairman of the largest undergraduate hostel in the University of Ibadan at the time, amidst concerns that he was too young to lead.

These worries were heightened considering that there was no Student Union body at the time and Timi would also provide leadership for the university. Through what he described as “a campaign of love,” Timi won the election. A year later, after his tenure, Time was nominated for the UI ‘JCI’ award for outstanding leadership of Halls and Faculties, and awarded the Hon. Chris Asoluka Award for Most Politically Productive Student in the University of Ibadan as well as the Professor H.O. Nottidge Award for Selfless Leadership.

Timi didn’t have it easy in his life. At age 10, Timi’s father left, his mother lost her job, and he was forced to finish his primary education in a barely functioning public school. At some point, even as a child, Timi had to sell ice-cream on the streets of Akoka.

Black Panther Celebrates Black Excellence

So, I finally saw the Black Panther movie (by Ryan Coogler) a few days ago! My first attempt a day earlier was not so successful as tickets were sold out for the 7.15pm time slot. And this was after almost one week since its release.

What do I think of the film? I can tell you that it lives up to the hype and more. Suffice it to say that I went to watch Black Panther determined to enjoy it. As I have preached to everyone who would listen, there are periods for just recognising and appreciating that something momentous has happened. Black Panther, the movie, is one of such landmark moments.

You do realise that Black Panther is more than just another movie from the Marvel Comics Universe. Ryan Coogler, the 31-year-old director had a point to prove. And he set about stamping his authorial authority on the movie, superhero tag notwithstanding. I think those who call it a “love letter to Africa” are on to something.

He loved ‘Black Panther’ comics as a kid. Then Marvel asked him to write a novel for the movie.

Jesse Holland grew up devouring Marvel comic books about Black Panther King T’Challa, who ruled the mythical African kingdom of Wakanda.”

So when Marvel called the 46-year-old Washington journalist and author to write the companion novel to the studio’s blockbuster movie, “The Black Panther,” Holland was thrilled.

“It was the culmination of a life-long dream for me,” said Holland. “I’ve always wanted a chance to help mold some of the great Marvel superheroes and to do that with the Black Panther, one of the first comic book characters I ever read, was incredible.”

Holland, who works by day as a reporter covering race and ethnicity for The Associated Press, wrote the novel , “Who is the Black Panther?” by night, in the basement of his house in Bowie, Md., where he lives with his wife, Carol, his 9-year-old son, Jamie, 11-year-old daughter, Rita, and their dog “Woodson Oblivious.”

How I Went From A Broke Network Marketer To Living The Life Of My Dreams

Today, You are the star of your own script, the captain of your own ship and the master of your own destiny.
You see, all of the biggest accomplishments in human society started with a dream. They started with passion, imagination, curiosity and determination.
However what if I was to tell you that over 95% of society will give up on their dreams before they even get there?
In a world of opportunity, of infinite possibilities  where one can access all the resources that they desire to become successful, we see 95% of people unfulfilled, unaccomplished, and under utilised.
Many of us have access to the same tools, to the same coaches, opportunities, mentors and resources, yet we see some people live their passion and others that never go on to live theirs.
About 9 years ago, I was a struggling networker- I was broke, exhausted, low on belief and in the 95% category- ready to give up on my dreams.
