Bukas & Joints explores food with music superstar, Innocent “2Baba” Idibia and legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt as show goes global on AIT International.
On this week’s episode, 2Baba visits the famous ‘Calabar Kitchen’ in Ikeja to experience the delicious dishes from the southeastern part of Nigeria. Superstar DJ Jimmy Jatt explores the very popular ‘White House’ Buka, located in the heart of Yaba, Lagos.
While the show debuted on African Independent Television (AIT) on both terrestrial and PayTV platforms, Bukas and Joints is happy to announce that the show has gone global, debuted on The African Channel in the USA and Caribbean on April 24th 2016. Speaking about this new partnership, Managing Partner Biola Alabi Media, Biola Alabi said “BAM is very happy about this new development as this allows for a more global participation while showcasing African cuisine to the world”. Karen Juve, Vice President Programming and Acquisitions also said of the show, “The show is in line with our vision to showcase African culture to the world.”
The half hour show takes viewers on a food adventure and follows Olisa as he explores the culture of food while also capturing the history behind some of these places.
Bukas and Joints airs every Sunday at 7pm on AIT and available on; channel 128 on StarTimes and on DStv channel 253.
