ROAD TO RUSSIA: How Far Can Super Eagles Go At 2018 World Cup?

The farthest the Super Eagles have gone since they started qualifying for the World Cup in 1994 has been the round of 16, which they have reached thrice in five outings.

The Nigerian side reached the second round in their debut campaign in 1994 as well as in 1998 and 2014, failing to advance beyond the group stage in 2002 and 2010.

Now, having been placed in Group D of the Russia 2018 World Cup with familiar foes Argentina and debutantes Iceland and star-studded Croatia, what do you feel are the chances of the Super Eagles?

Are the African giants good enough to match their previous achievement? Or can they equal Cameroon, Senegal and Ghana’s World Cup quarter-finals African record? Can Gernot Rohr’s side go even further than the last-eight stage to set a new African record?

Given the strengths and weaknesses of the current Super Eagles squad and their likely route to the latter stages, how far do you predict they can go in Russia?

It is time again to have your say as Completesportsnigeria.com continue our Road To Russia World Cup Debate series.
