2018 World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria 2- 0 Swaziland

   Nigeria defeated Swaziland on Tuesday evening in Port Harcourt courtesy of goals from Moses Simon and Efe Ambrose ..This was the second leg of the World cup 2018 qualifier against Swaziland which the Super Eagles had to win by all means to further their stake for a place in the next World Cup taking place in Russia.

Nigeria started with a line up comprising of Ikeme, Abdullahi, Alas,Ambrose, Igboun, Simon, Oboroakpo, Onazi, Onobi,Ahmed Musa and Ighalo with regular starter Mikel Obi on the substitutes bench.

The Super Eagles had more possession in the game and much of the game left Swaziland's attackers with not much to do and after spurning chances in the first half broke the deadlock through Moses Simon in the 52nd minute and Eve Ambrose in the 87th minute.. Congrats to them!!!

Dangote, three other directors resigns from Dangote flour mill

Alikoo Dangote and three other directors have resigned from the board of Dangote Flour Mills after majority shareholder of Flour Mill, Tiger Brands, cut funding support to its struggling Nigerian division today November 16th.

According to Reuters, South Africa's Tiger Brands said it was 'currently exploring various alternatives with regard to its investment in Dangote Flour Mills". Aliko Dangote holds 10 percent of the company's equity through Dangote Industries. The other directors who resigned along with Dangote are Olakunle Alake, Asue Ighodalo and Arnold Ekpe.

Nigerian artist wins Prestigious International Art prize

 Otobong Nkanga has emerged winner of the 2015 Yanghyun Foundation Artist Award in Seoul, Korea. Ms Nkanga is the first African recipient of the prestigious award.

Nkanga was born in Kano, Nigeria in 1974. She studied at OAU, Nigeria, State, Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris, and the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten, Amsterdam, and completed Advanced Studies in the Performing Arts at the DasArts, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Paris hit by 'three teams of attackers'

Three teams carried out the attacks in the French capital which killed 129 people and left more than 350 wounded, the Paris chief prosecutor says.
"We have to find out where they came from... and how they were financed," Francois Molins told reporters.
He said seven attackers had been killed, and that all had been heavily armed and wearing explosive belts.
Friday's attacks, claimed by Islamic State militants, hit a concert hall, a major stadium, restaurants and bars.
Mr Molins also said the arrests of three men in Belgium on Saturday were linked to the attacks.

Eiffel Tower evacuated following terrorist attacks in Paris

   Anti-terror police in France have evacuated the area around the Paris Eiffel tower, one of France biggest tourist sites. The police are at the Pullman Hotel on Avenue de Suffren near the Eiffel tower, armed with automatic weapons taking cover and training their weapons on the Pullman hotel for fear of another attack.

Oyedepo and wife arrive Benin city in their private jet

                   
The senior pastor of Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife Faith arrived Benin city in their private jet this morning. They are in Benin city for the 40th anniversary of Church of God Mission Miracle Center which was founded by late Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa. Oyedepo and his wife were welcomed by Bishop Margaret Benson-Idahosa, her son Feb and daughter in-law Laurie.

Court orders DSS to allow Dasuki to travel

            
The Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has ordered the Department of State Security to allow former National Security Adviser NSA Sambo Dasuki travel for medical checkup. Dasuki had filed a Fundamental Rights Enforcement suit against the Federal government after DSS officials prevented him from traveling out on November 4th despite a court injunction permitting him to do so.

The presiding judge in today's hearing, Justice Ademola Adeniyi ordered the Attorney General to appear before it on Monday Nov. 16th to explain why the court order granting Dasuki permission to travel out for medical attention is being flouted.

School boys from Sudan & Somalia kicked out of Apple store in Australia for fear "they might steal something

Racial profiling. Six black teenagers of Maribyrong High School were told to leave an Apple store in Melbourne, Australia because of staff's fear they "might steal something".

     "Simply Racism, made them apologise though" one of the boys, Francis Ose captioned the video he shared on Facebook on Tuesday, November 10. The video shows the boys being denied entry to the store by a staff member and two security guards.

 

     "These guys [security guards] are just a bit worried about your presence in our store. They’re just worried you might steal something," the Apple staff member said in the video.
